Absolute Resource Associates offers testing of residential well water for a comprehensive list of possible contaminants, including arsenic, bacteria, lead, PFAS and more. We can provide guidance for testing based on your specific concerns. Some contaminants affect the aesthetics of your water such as taste and odor, others cannot be seen, smelled or tasted, but are linked to health problems. It is recommended that well users test their water every three to five years. Watch this short video to see how easy it is to test your water.

VOC
VOC is an acronym for Volatile Organic Compounds. Many VOCs have been identified as contaminants in drinking water, the compounds detected most often come from gasoline and industrial solvents. MtBE is an extremely water soluble, slowly degrading compound that was added to gasoline for many years. Because of these properties, it is sometimes found as a well-water contaminant even in remote areas. The VOC analysis that we offer can identify many contaminants. Our report includes the compounds that are most often found.
VOC ANALYTES
This test is recommended every 3-5 years:
o MtBE
o Benzene
o Toluene
o Ethyl benzene
o Xylenes
Please note:
Situations such as the following may warrant an increase in the frequent of your drinking water testing:
o Close proximity to hazardous material handling facilities
o Recent well construction or repairs
o Contaminants found in previous testing
o Noticeable changes in water quality
As always, if you have any questions just let us know!
